Hosted Dialer Magnalogix
Well we got everything up and running for one agent at this stage of the game, there was some problems but it was the way that I set up Bria, it was wrong codec.
First day of testing went well but granted it was only one agent and we were using auto dial not click to dial the next number but they say it works better so we will give it a shot, had about 30 second wait time but other then that the call quality was good and did not run into any other issues but the real test is when we are doing three or more agents to see what happen. I will say the support has been very good and most accommodating to get everything working correctly.
Hosted Dialer Magnalogix
I had some issues a couple of months ago with a company named Magnalogix which is a hosted dialer company based out of Nevada in the states. We used there services for about 4 hours and did not get the best start but I will give it to Raymond that it does take about a day to get all the bugs worked out but what made me most up set is that when I asked for a refund I only got refunded 150 dollar but it should have been 600 dollars but now after talking to the owner Raymond about the problems that we had and the refund issue I think that we where able to work everything out. Magnalogix is going to give me a test account for a week to run there dialer again and at the end of the week, I will review it once again.
One things that I for got, all dialer have bugs and some times break but for the most part they work but when you working with a dialer that was just install is another story, you are going to have bugs to work out but when you are working on a dialer that has in operation for a while, you should not really run into any problems.
It will be good to see what happens with Magnalogix when we test.
One of the biggest issues with predictive dialer and hosted dialer is the support because they break and some one needs to be there to fix it when problems happen. Any one offering these services like hosted dialer make sure your support is solid.
Must of your Vicidial consultants are lazy and not there when you need then and is allot of the reasons that people are going to the hosted solution, the only one that I have worked with and is reliable is my friend lito all the others allot of bad stories of dialer not working.
I will say that I have allot of respect for Raymond the owner of the company contacting my to find out why I was not happy with there services when I used them, if it was not for him this would have never gotten worked out.

Magnalogix Hosted Dialer
I have wrote about this company a couple of times on my other blogs Magnalogix which is a hosted dialer company and also does allot of mortgage lead company.
I’m pissed off about this company because I gave them a shot and paid for 5 agents and it was horrible!
Everything started out well other the phone like they known what they where doing but I was really wrong!
Now to whats most important is picking a company that you want to use that offers a hosted dialer services, you are going to really want to do your research and remember that for the most part the cheaper the services the badder its going to be. We have been using Vicidial for years now and it works great for a open source dialer but there is allot of problems that you could run into if you don’t have an IT guy that knows how to fixes the problems when they happen but like I said it works great for being free.
There is allot of Hosted dialers companies out there that are charging allot but it’s not because there predictive dialer is the best in the world but because of there support and the functionality and capability of there dialer. There is no dialer out there that is not going to have problems because there is so many things in the software and hard ware that can go wrong that is no ones fault but whats really important is having support in case some thing happens some one is there to fix it in a reasonable time.
Here is one of the major problems with Magnalogix, they are loading a bunch of different clients on the same server which if you know with Vicidial it’s not going to work perfect, you are going to have crossed lines at some points in the shift and if the server is over loaded at times it will crash or will have to be rebooted because of the stress on the system.
I talked to a guy at Hosted Dialer and he really laid it on the table for me about what Magnalogix was doing like over loading the server and places to many clients on one server to maximize there profit with out giving there clients there months worth.
Another thing about Magnalogix is they don’t give you the ability to change anything on the Vicidial interface in the admin panel like the pacing which is very important because at times wait times can get long, I talked to there tech and told him this because we were having a 1 minute wait time with 5 people on the phones which is way to long for the most time on our Vicidial we operate about 15 to 30 seconds at the most.
I love the whole idea about the hosted dialer and no hardware but the only thing that most important is the support that you are going to get when you are using this companies hosted dialer, are they going to be there when you need them or are they going to shine you?
The cheapest way to do it is to buy a good server for around a $1000 dollars and pay some one in the Philippines to set it up for you but make sure again they are going to be there to support you in case some thing happens, if there names start with Mark, Eduard or Damion run these are not the type of people that you want setting up your dialer.
If you have the budget then buy a commercial dialer that comes with real support it will save you allot of problem or if you are on a budget then I would suggest using this company Hosted Dialer from what I know they are the best with the best price around $180 dollars per agent including telco and they put all there clients on there own server.
Even the best predictive dialers have problems, it’s all about the support that you get, its going to cost you more money to get better support but it will be worth it if your business is call center related.
The Death Of The Vicidial Consultants
I have been working with Vicidial consultants from about the first lunch when they first came out, Which was kill I was so frustrated about about through a server at some one. We worked our way thought companies consultants and people looking to back on buck on the side, it took me two years to find some one that cared and was dedicated to working with me and for the company.
We use Vicidial for our call center and have sold to some other call centers around the world but we have always had some hard times with the software, not as much as before but at the end of the day pare Lito really was the only one that could fix it.
Now to the Death of the Philippines Vicidial consultants is the company Vicidial it’s self, they have came out with a hosted solution that looks like its bullet proof. They will install the ViceDial software on a hosted box in the states and get pretty much everything going for you for a low price of 200 dollars a month but the good thing is that the server can handle 20 people with the pacing at 4 is to 1 which is really good, you would be able to have about 40 people doing a 1.5 which works well.
The one down side is you have to pay a 800 dollar set up fee but really at the end of the day its not bad, they also give you 5 hours of phone support on configurations that you might need help with.
This Vici dial box is set up by some one in the states that is apart of the team that built Vici dial so you are getting one of the best installs that there is for a very reasonable price I think, the chance of something bad happening like down time I would think is allot less.
Try now we are hosting our pbx in the states for the last 6 months and its has worked great and also dose not cost that much plus I dont have to have servers here that you buy for a 1,000 dollars and then in three months they are worth 500 dollars.
Plus you are getting a better quality of a call because the calls are not coming through the Philippines and then going back to the states.
I think that you are going to see more and more people that have had some bad experience
with consultants, here in the Philippines changing over to this hosted solution instead of banging your head on the wall hope the dam thing works when you start calling.

Hosted Dialer Wat Do You Use?
I have been using Vicidial for about 3 years now and it works good for what it is which is open source but it does not have reporting which is an important part for call center type work. The last couple of days I have been looking at other hosted dialer’s like Touch Star, drishti soft and five9 but not sure how well each one works, I’m pretty sure that all are based on Asterisk but commercial grade and I have clients and friends but I wanted to see what everyone else thoughts are on this.
What is the best hosted dialer that there is in your eyes for quality and price?

Hosted Dialer Magnalogix
I just want to let you know about some things with Magnalogix the hosted dialer company.
I had some problems with one of the vicidail server that we had been using for the past two years and for the two years it worked pretty good but we did have some problems but nothing that could not be solved in 5 minutes with our support team but I really wanted to get into the hosted dialer thing because I host my Elastix PBX in the states and it works great.
I talked with the VP of sales, a great guy but did not know much about the system which was a modified Vicidial and that did not bother me because I was not going to be the one supporting it.
I loved the whole idea of it and it sounds great but it’s not.
Everything sounded great and then there were going to scrub our leads for free which did not matter because we scrubbed them already but never hurts to do it twice I guess. This was on Friday at the end of the day so pretty much every one was going so the tech said that he could get be going Monday in 30 minutes which I know could happen because it was Vicidial.
Monday comes and I only had paid for one user over the weekend but as soon as I got in I bought the other users but we could only dial with one agent because there tech was out of the office for 5 hours but when he got in we got the five agents going and it was work pretty well then BAM Choppy lines, calls dropping, crossed lines, calls coming in from Magnalogix other clients, agents on auto pause and to make it better you are not able to control the pacing of the dialer so at times we had agents waiting to about a minute to two minutes.
I start talking to there tech and he is telling me that is a good call rate ![]()
So now I’m going nuts my client is very up set and I’m up set so I tell her to send the agents home tell we get it sorted at that time we only dialed for 3 hours.
I try contacting Magnalogix office but everyone is going it was 6Pm PST and I was told that they would be there tell 7pm at least.
I left the office pisted and with out 750 dollars.
The next day the COO Zach contacts be and says that we are using g711 and why we are having choppy lines but it did not matter because we are using a dedicated 2MB connection and only using about 1MB at the time. I emailed him back asked for a refund, I did not want to try it again and he said not a problem I will refund you now and he did but for only $150 dollars the first transaction I made over the week end.
So I emailed him back and he said I refunded all the transactions but he only did one and its been about two weeks and now old Zach is not replying to my emails.
I charge back the amount on my card and I’m sure I will get it back but going to take 45 days to get my money back.
