Philippines Holidays WTF!

By admin On August 3, 2009 No Comments

Malacanang just announced that August 5th is going to be a non working holiday in Honer of the past President Cory Aquino’s funeral. I don’t want to knock on Cory because she did allot but doesn’t the Philippines already have way to many holidays? Now if you own a call center you are going to have to Pay your people one and a half more, I cant imagine what it would feel like if you had a 2000 or 3000 seat call center.  If sure that all the call center agents are licking there chop’s for the extra pay on the 5th.

Philippines Call Center Life

By admin On May 27, 2009 No Comments

I just got back from the hot springs with my friend Aaron and our families, we had a great time but got no sleep talks to Aarons baby :)

If you have been working here for a while in the call center, you need your breaks I guess like any other business but in the call center you get burnt out really fast maybe because of the night shift or changing hours often.

It’s funny because I see allot of the people that are running call centers here that want to leave really bad and I really don’t under stand because the Philippines is a great place but I guess after a while it eats on you.

Pretty much from time to time you need to go back home I guess to get a break from the Philippines.
